Composite Cladding

Composite cladding boards are intended to cope with outdoor exposure, but the finished wall shouldn't be treated as completely waterproof on its own.

Rainwater can pass through joints and around openings, so a correctly detailed wall system needs appropriate weather protection, drainage and ventilation behind the boards.

A good-quality composite cladding system can in fact provide many years of service when fitted correctly. Its lifespan varies depending on the material, exposure, installation and maintenance.

Many composite cladding systems can be installed vertically, but not every board is suitable for both orientations.

Check the manufacturer's installation instructions first. The direction of your battens, fixing arrangement and drainage details may need to change.

One of the main benefits of composite exterior cladding is avoiding the regular painting or staining associated with traditional timber.

Most products are supplied with their finished colour already incorporated into the board or surface treatment. Painting is not normally part of routine maintenance.

It may be possible to install a suitable composite cladding system over brickwork using an appropriately fixed supporting framework.

The condition of the existing wall, fixing suitability, ventilation and fire requirements should be assessed before installation. Simply attaching boards directly to brickwork isn't the correct approach for most systems.

For routine cleaning, warm water, a mild detergent and a soft brush are usually a sensible starting point.

Avoid abrasive cleaners or aggressive pressure washing unless the manufacturer permits them. Giving the cladding an occasional clean helps remove dirt, algae and general outdoor grime.

Yes, we accept returns on eligible orders. If you need to cancel, please get in touch as soon as possible. Orders which haven't been dispatched can normally be cancelled for a full refund.

If your order has already been dispatched, we may still be able to stop delivery, although return transport charges could apply.

Changed your mind after receiving your composite cladding? Please contact our team within 28 days of delivery to arrange a return. Products should be unused, uncut and securely packaged in their original condition. Return shipping costs are normally the customer's responsibility, with refunds processed once the goods have been received and inspected.

Cladding boards which have been cut, installed or altered may not qualify for our extended returns policy.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us so we can help resolve the issue. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
